Conjugating a verb

All verbs similar to ABIT-ARE, such as LAVOR-ARE (work) , PARL-ARE (speak), that end
with - ARE in the infinitive, are conjugated following the same pattern.

All - ARE verbs belong to the FIRST CONJUGATION.

ABIT - ARE	"TO RESIDE, TO DWELL, TO LIVE"

Io parl - o	("I ")
Tu parl - i	("You speak")
Lui parl - a	("He speaks")
Lei/lei parl - a	("She speaks")
parl - a	("It speaks")

Noi parl - iamo	("We speak")
Voi parl - ate	(You [pl.] speak)
Loro parl - ano	(They speak)

(Irregular verbs ending with -ARE, such as FARE, do not follow the standard conjugation.)

Pronuncia

loro pàrlano
loro àbitano
loro lavòrano

In the third person plural "loro" the stress ie retracted and falls on the third-to-the last syllable
(instead of the second-to-the-last as for the other persons).
Practice pronouncing.

The syllable where the stress falls can be streched out for ever...
